Prince William County
Prince William County is Virginia’s second largest county, second to Fairfax County. Both Loudoun County and Fairfax County border on the north, while Fauquier County is to the west. While they share a judicial system, the City of Manassas and Manassas Park are enclaves to Prince William County, and the county’s courthouse is located within the City of Manassas.
The county is home to the Manassas National Battlefield Park, which commemorates two of the most critical battles of the Civil War: The Battle of Bull Run (Manassas) and the Second Battle of Bull Run. This park is where Confederate General, Thomas Jackson took his nickname “Stonewall.”
The primary towns within Prince William County include Manassas, Manassas Park, Manassas City, Haymarket, Gainesville, Woodbridge, Bristow, Catharpin, Dumfries, Lake Ridge, Quantico, Bull Run, Nokesville, Dale City, Triangle, and Occoquan.
