Attorney Jenny Jung practices criminal defense in Virginia. She is a Fairfax County native, after immigrating from South Korea at 8 years old – she’s fluent in Korean. She is dedicated to meeting the needs of her clients, both in and outside of the courtroom, with a trustworthy and professional approach.
Jenny completed her undergraduate degree at the College of William & Mary, majoring in Linguistics and minoring in Psychology. She graduated in December of 2019 before taking a 2-year break from academics during the height of COVID-19 pandemic. During this time, Jenny interned remotely with the Public Defender Service for the District of Columbia, providing case support to DC public defenders handling serious criminal cases for both adults and juveniles.
After finishing her first year of law school at the School of Law at Wake Forest University, Jenny decided that it was in her best interest to move to a Virginia law school, as she is a Virginia girl at heart and knew she wanted to practice law in Virginia as well. She successfully transferred and finished her law degree at the University of Richmond School of Law in 2024. During law school, all of Jenny’s law clerk internships involved criminal defense – working with a private defense attorney with experience in capital defense, clerking with the Public Defender Service for the District of Columbia, and externing at the Chesterfield Public Defender’s office.
Jenny initially joined Crowley Peritz Law as a legal assistant while studying for the Virginia Bar Exam. After successfully passing the exam, she joined the firm as an associate attorney. She has taken on traffic cases such as reckless driving charges, as well as criminal misdemeanors such as petit larceny, assault & battery, and trespass. Her practice area is rapidly growing with the mentorship and guidance of Seth & Matt.
